We had a leak coming from somewhere on our roof and I had several other roofing companies come out to try to find out what was causing the leak and give estimates. The rep from Johnson Roofing said that the flashing from one of the two skylights was leaking and that replacing it would solve the problem. I let them do the job and sure enough, the leak stopped. They did a great job and I watched the two roofers do the work and was very impressed by their professionalism. They knew what they were doing and had the right tools they needed. One well-known roofing company I had called wanted a $450 deposit before they even came out, which I would never do. Would highly recommend Johnson Roofing and will call them again if the flashing on the other skylight ever starts leaking.

Steve Johnson was quite responsive to all of my questions and saved me literally thousands of dollars on my new roof. His crew was amazingly hard working and attentive to all details. Of course I had to find out in the spring of the wettest year on record that our 20 + year-old roof needed to be replaced, plywood sheathing included. I had 5 different companies come out to look at the job and felt like several companies were either trying to rake me over the coals or sell me things I did not need (gutters, attic fan, etc.) Once Steve swung by to take a look at the job and talk over what he thought I needed to have done, I felt like I had found an honest man/company that would not up-sell me things I did not need. He explained that a SmartVent roof system would probably work better for our house and that a maintenance intensive fan was not the best way to go. Because of all the rain, we were delayed in getting out new roof w/the SmartVent system but not much could be done about that. Only one issue arose during the process that Steve took care of with no questions asked. When the supplier dropped our load of plywood at the house during a downpour w/o covering it, the wood turned to mush and got all moldy. When I called Steve he said he would call his supplier and make sure a new load of plywood was dropped the day the crew showed up to do my roof. Right on schedule, the new load arrived and everything went smooth from there. I really hope I don’t encounter any more roof issues, but if I do, I would definitely give Steve my business. Overall, a very responsive and great company to work with.

We had used Johnson Roofing company back in 2011 after a tree fell on our upper roof during a hurricane. They responded quickly, did a fabulous job at a great price. I had noticed water dripping from 3 unusual areas in my carport and front porch and have been unable to identify the cause of the improper flow. I called Johnson Roofing based on my experience in 2011 to come look at my issues and ask for a quote. When they came out for the estimate, they immediately identified the cause of the improper waterflow. They recommended and ensured they would be able to fix the problem during a re-roofing of the lower section of the house. The evening before they were supposed to arrive I had to call the company to ask to reschedule for the following week because my wife and I were very sick and didn't really want to cope with a roofing job all day. They said no problem and promptly rescheduled for the following Monday morning, when the arrived right on time. After stripping the old shingles off the roof the identified all the causes of the water flow problems, siding nails went through the roofing flashing. They fixed all of those areas and replaced any rotted plywood as promised. They were done with everything, including cleanup with 5 hours of starting.

Great! Steve Johnson did some repair work for me about a year ago -- and his estimate was a fraction of the cost of other estimates I had received. So I recently referred my friend to Steve Johnson. She thought she needed an entire new roof for her rental property in Springfield and was fully prepared to pay to have the roof replaced. After inspecting the roof, Steve explained to my friend that her roof still had a few more years left and did not recommend replacing the roof at this time. We were stunned by Steve's honesty with regard to this work, but this is yet a further example of Steve Johnson's integrity and honesty. I believe his roofing company has no equal in the NoVa area.
